Tried painting again for the first time in like 3 years.

11”x17” movie poster for the film Drive.

I know Drive posters are a dime a dozen on the Internet but I couldn’t resist making one. I love this movie and its sweet 80’s feel. 

Here’s my shameless rip-off of Takashi Murakami.

But it’s for a good reason.

I’ve started to notice that I’m kind of developing a style of my own, which is great, but I’m afraid that it’s too soon. I need to experiment with what else I can do digitally first. At the risk of sounding like an artist, I don’t want my style to be limited by my comfort with the medium.

I’ll also say that I feel like this is the most emotionally charged piece I’ve ever made.
